This dress is handmade from lightweight woven cotton fabrics in fun vintage-inspired purple prints. Two tucks on each side encase the side ties and help to create a softly feminine shape. It has pleated pockets on the front in a contrasting print, finished with bias tape along the edges. Matching zigzag stitches on the pockets and the hem tie these details together beautifully. The dress overlaps in the back and is held in place by the ties and a small snap at the back neck, so there's no need for velcro or zippers. The neck and arm edges are finished with bias tape, which is held in place with hand stitches that are invisible from the outside. Side and shoulder seams are serged for durability.
